1 Download Replymate

After downloading, unzip the file to a folder on your computer (for example, your Desktop or Documents folder).

2 Open Chrome Extensions

In Google Chrome, do one of the following:

  1. Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter, OR
  2. Click the three dots menu (⋮) in the top right → Extensions → Manage Extensions
3 Turn On Developer Mode

Look for a toggle switch labeled "Developer mode" in the top right corner of the page.

Important: Click the toggle to turn it ON (it should turn blue). This is required to install the extension.

Don't worry - this is completely safe. "Developer mode" just means you're installing an extension from files instead of the Chrome Web Store.

4 Load the Extension

After turning on Developer mode, you'll see three new buttons appear:

  1. Click the button that says "Load unpacked"
  2. In the file browser that opens, navigate to where you unzipped the extension files
  3. Select the chrome-extension folder (the whole folder, not individual files)
  4. Click "Select Folder" or "Open"
Tip: Make sure you select the folder that contains the files (manifest.json, content.js, etc.), not just a single file.
5 Pin Extension & Configure Email

Now you need to set up the extension with your email address:

  1. Look at the top right of your browser, next to the address bar
  2. Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩 Extensions)
  3. Find "Replymate" in the list
  4. Click the pin icon next to it so the Replymate icon stays visible in your toolbar
  5. Now click the Replymate icon (robot icon) in your toolbar
  6. A popup will appear - enter your Robomate email address (e.g., your.name@robomate.co.nz)
  7. Click "Save Settings"
Important: You must use your Robomate email address. This is how the system knows you're authorized to use Replymate.
6 Start Using Replymate

That's it! You're all set up. To use Replymate on a ticket:

  1. Go to your Freshdesk portal (e.g., robomateco-help.freshdesk.com)
  2. Open any ticket
  3. Click "Reply" to open the reply editor
  4. Click the Replymate button (robot icon) in the Freshdesk toolbar
  5. Wait a few seconds while AI generates a reply suggestion
  6. Review the suggestion, make any edits, and click "Insert into Reply"
Tip: You'll see a floating "Feedback" button in the bottom-right corner. Use it anytime to send us your thoughts about Replymate!

6 Start Using Replymate

That's it! You're all set up. To use Replymate on a ticket:
